
At the junction of the two rivers that form the mighty Gunnison, the semi-private course is available afternoons for visitor play.

West of town and adjacent to the golf course, the former Wagon Wheel Motel is near the canyon of the Blue Mesa Reservoir. Stay here. Enjoy the next day's drive along and across the reservoir to Montrose.

Formerly a country club with a large clubhouse and restaurant, The Bridges is a Nicklaus-design course. Numerous wooden bridges cross streams all over the course.

Near the Black Canyon National Park, the intown municipal course has reasonable rates and afternoon availability.

Winding through a planned residential community south of town is Cobble Creek Golf Course. Reasonable visitor rates and great views.

Built on hard-packed mud hills above the farming town of Delta, the course is often described as green fairways flowing through a moonscape. Instead of growing grass in the hard soil, the fairways were built quickly using rolls of grass sod.

Near the entrance to the Grand Mesa in among orchard farms is the planned community course, The original nine holes are through wide meadows and winding streams. The new nine fairways are in rocky hillside terrain.

The choices here are continuing on US 50 into Grand Junction, crossing over scenic Grand Mesa with many lakes to connect to I-70 or the return home taking US 50 to US 285 back home.
